Burt and Co is a proud, family-run company with a legacy that spans decades. Formerly known as PNG Construction Vancouver, we have rebranded as Burt and Co to honour our roots, tracing back to the original Burton and Son company founded in 1946 by Paul Burton Sr.

In the 1980s, Bob Burton, Paul Sr.'s son, expanded the business into building destination and convenience shopping centres. Recognizing the growing demand for tenant improvement and renovation services, Paul Burton Jr., the grandson of Paul Sr., joined the company in the late 1990s. Under his leadership, the company specialized in serving large franchise groups, focusing on new builds and renovations for franchise restaurants and nightclubs across Canada.

In 2014, the Burton family sold PNG Construction Vancouver to focus on their online Canadian building material supply company, Commwall.ca. After successfully establishing Commwall.ca, Bob and Paul Jr. decided to re-enter the construction industry in 2023 at the request of designers and master franchise managers. Now in 2025, Burt and Co is moving full steam ahead with a dedicated construction management team and commercial estimators boasting over 100 years of combined experience and over 200 completed restaurant builds.
